Help guide the future of the South Santiam Watershed
The South Santiam Watershed Council is seeking passionate community members who care about the watershed and want to help shape the direction of our work. Board service is a meaningful way to support watershed health, restoration projects, education programs, and community stewardship.
If you’re looking for a way to make a lasting difference, we’d love for you to join us!
What Our Board Does
Our Board of Directors provides strategic guidance and oversight for the organization. Board members work together during regular board meetings and on individual committees to get this done.
Board members:
- Help shape SSWC’s priorities and programs
- Support staff and committees
- Participate in planning and decision-making
- Represent SSWC in the community
- Promote stewardship, partnership, and inclusivity
- Support restoration, cleanup, and education initiatives
Board members generally require a commitment of about 4-6 hours/month. Board members serve for at least one 2-year term and may serve a maximum of two terms before a mandatory 1 year break, with the executive committee elections occurring annually.
Board members play a vital role in helping SSWC thrive.
