It’s official!  The SHHS Youth Watershed Council has adopted the lower portion of Sankey Park, including the riparian area of Ames Creek that runs through the park.  As part of their adoption the students are tasked with keeping the park and creek clean.  They have also partnered with the City of Sweet Home to design and install new interpretive signs in the park, and to restore the riparian habitat along the creek.  Stop by the park to check out their progress or volunteer to help out at one of their community clean up events.  For more information you can contact Angela Clegg, Watershed Education Coordinator, at stewards.ywc@gmail.com.
