South Santiam Youth Watershed Council’s Ames Creek Clean-Up

The South Santiam Youth Watershed Council in partnership with Sweet Home Parks and Recreation Dept. will be sprucing up Ames Creek (Sankey Park) on April 11th from 9:00am until 1:00pm. Please come support Sweet Home’s Youth with their Restoration project.

Individuals or groups who want to help remove invasive species to improve Sweet Home’s parks and natural areas are encouraged to sign up for this project in advance.

Some tools and gloves will be provided. However, volunteers are encouraged to bring pruners, rakes, and hand saws. Volunteers should wear heavy duty gloves, shoes, and clothes that can get dirty, and bring water to drink.

To register, call Sweet Home Parks and Recreation, 541-367-8113, or email llaroque@ci.sweet-home.or.us. Drop-ins are welcome, but advanced sign-ups help staff plan appropriately.

We hope to see lots of volunteers and community support this Saturday!
