DESCRIPTION:DIRECTIONS: Go into the Boys & Girls Club parking lot and turn right. Then drive through a chain link gate on the back side of the building behind the baseball diamonds. The gate is on the Northside of the boys and girl club building. \nThe city of Sweet Home and the South Santiam Watershed Council are working together to restore ~ 3 acres of Sankey Park along Ames Creek. This February 5th and 6th we are putting 2\,100 native plants into the ground at Sankey Park and we need your help! SUMMARY:Volunteer Work Days at Sankey Park
DESCRIPTION:This events spans two days: Monday – Tuesday\, October 13-14\, from 9 am to approximately 3 pm each day. \nWe’re asking our community to help us install silage tarp as part of the Sankey Park Floodplain Restoration Project. The tarp will help control invasive reed canary grass and prepare the soil for future native planting. \nOur worksite location will be the covered bridge on the east side of Ames Creek. We’ll work together to unroll\, place\, and secure the silage tarp over roughly one acre of reed canary grass.
