Plan For Your Land is a collaboration among five watershed councils in the mid-Willamette River basin, including the North Santiam, Luckiamute, South Santiam, Calapooia, and Marys River watershed councils. Together, we are working with local landowners and land managers who are interested in discovering new ways to care for their land and deepen their connection as stewards.

Tub Run Wetland Prairie is a 320-acre private property located in Linn County. Part of the property is being managed for agricultural production, and approximately 120 acres has been converted to native habitats with an emphasis on wildlife and endangered species conservation, 70 acres of which is being managed specifically for threatened streaked horned larks.

Dragonfly Ranch is a 200-acre conservation property featuring wet meadows, oak savannas, woodlands, and ponds that are managed to support native species and natural ecosystem processes.

Due to the high volume of interest in previous years’ Plan For Your Land workshops, we started using an application process. We are prioritizing participation for landowners and managers who care for more than five acres of land. The application process is open now, and selections will be made by December 2025.
Classes will be taught by subject matter experts who live and work in Benton, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, and Polk Counties.
